Witness of Jesus Christ by Shuchi Zheng: After four years marriage, my husband and I were not able to have our own children. We tried alternate methods but were unsuccessful. We prayed so hard to have our own, and my heart was
always sorrowful for not being able to bear my own baby. I felt so much burden upon my shoulders and in my heart. One day, i was reading the New Testament and came upon these words of the Savior: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”(Matthew 11:28-30).
After several months passed by, my husband and I decided to adopt a child. We simply asked someone about adoption and to our surprise, this person told us, ” You are going to be parents; a young lady is going to give a birth soon and you will be the adoptive parents.” The baby was born on May 23rd, and he came to our life right after his birth.
We are so blessed to have a baby boy. As I look back over my four years of marriage, I see a wonderful husband who always supported me in every time of need. I see and am so grateful for the Savior’s love for me. As I enter His holy temple (Mormon temple), I always feel that I am swimming in His love and His teachings.
I know Jesus Christ lives and died for each one of us and that He even died for me. I can feel how much He loves me in so many different ways. I know when I look at his picture, I feel He is there for me. My burden is not heavy any more; my sorrow is gone. He lifts me up. I bear this witness of Him as the Son of God and my Savior
in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
