My family joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was fifteen years old in our country of the Philippines. Since then our family has come to study and know the life of the Savior and how important He is in our lives and our in family. We have ups and downs in life like everybody else, but knowing His gospel and His teachings helps us in many ways. Always, His words and His gospel are what keep us going. I am so thankful for my parents, who accepted the gospel when it was taught to them, and I am grateful that I have the true gospel in my life. I know now that my Savior loves me and died for me. He is the son of God and the Redeemer of the World. We cannot enter into Heavenly Father’s kingdom without Him. Jesus Christ’s atoning sacrifice has made our life easier. He overcame sin, the stumbling block that hinders us from progression. Because of Him, everything is possible, and we have the chance to enter into the presence of our God, if we remain faithful and follow His commandments. We all need Him, so that we can inherit the eternal happiness that Heavenly Father has promised us. Purity is required to achieve eternal happiness, and Jesus Christ bridged the gap between our weakness and sin, and the requirements of heaven, in order for us to achieve eternal exaltation. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one cometh unto our Heavenly Father except through Him, so there is no shortcut to reach our eternal destination. We have to follow Jesus Christ’s great example and all His teachings. We will know the truth if we will follow Christ and accept Him as our Savior and our Redeemer. And we can also understand the meaning of our existence, and our purpose here in mortality, if we follow and obey Jesus Christ.
